报告摘要:

Breaking the trade-off between strength and ductility, strain hardening and fracture toughness has long been a great challenge for high-strength metallic materials. Recently we found that various spatial gradient structured materials exhibit some unprecedented mechanical properties. In this talk, I aim at reviewing a critical assessment of the state-of-the-art of a few gradient structured materials, such as dual-gradient nanotwinned (GNT) Cu as well as gradient cell-structured alloys, covering topics ranging from design, fabrication, mechanical properties and underlying the fundamental deformation mechanism. We discuss the deformation behaviors induced by structural gradients, stress/strain gradients, new dislocation structures and interactions to unravel the mechanistic origin of extra strengthening and work hardening associated with gradient structures. The findings provide a promising paradigm for designing high performance with gradient architecture.

报告人简介:

卢磊,博士,女,中国科学院金属研究所研究员、博士生导师,国家杰出青年科学基金、国家级科技创新领军人才获得者, 中国科学技术部纳米前沿"重点专项总体专家组副组长等。现任国际纳米材料、国际材料强度大会委员会委员;国际材料领域旗舰Acta Materialia Scripta Materialia 期刊编辑。主要从事多尺度高性能金属材料的设计、制备、力学性能及变形机理的基础研究。发表 SCI 论文 160 (其中包括Science 7 , Nature 2 ),被 SCI文章他引 >25000 次,获国内发明专利 15 项,国际发明专利 6项。近年来在国际学术会议做大会、主旨和邀请报告120 余次。曾获中国青年女科学家奖、汤森路透全球高被引用科学家、爱思唯尔中国高被引学者“TMS Brimacombe Medal Award”等奖项。
