报告摘要:

Despite a number of investigations in various superconducting films, so far the transport studies have been mostly limited to the case of disordered two-dimensional (2D) superconducting systems, either amorphous or granular. There is particularly interesting in the studies on a cleaner superconducting crystal samples for the understanding the intrinsic nature of superconducting fluctuations in the 2D limit.

Recently, we have obtained high-quality 2D ultrathin Mo2C superconducting crystals and graphene/Mo2C heterostructures by means of chemical vapor deposition method. Here, we report on low-temperature transport measurements on high-quality ultrathin superconducting Mo2C crystals and heterostructures in the 2D limit. We discuss that these anomalous transport behaviors can be understood quantitatively by including the effects of inhomogeneous superconducting phase and quantum fluctuations of the phase order parameter in the vicinity of the superconductor-insulator transition regime. For graphene/ Mo2C heterostructures, the strong interface coupling leads to a phase diagram of superconducting transition with multiple voltage steps being observed. Furthermore, we demonstrate the realization of highly transparent Josephson junction devices based on these strongly coupled heterostructures.

Our results demonstrate that such stable high-quality clean 2D superconducting crystals and heterostructures provide a new material platform to investigate novel phenomena in 2D superconductor.
